After more than 6 years of living in Brooklyn, I had never journeyed up to Long Island City to check out MoMA PS1, an exhibition space that “devotes its energy and resources to displaying the most experimental art in the world.” Yesterday I finally made it. The building from 1892 was originally the first school in Long Island City. PS1 was founded in 1971 by Alanna Heiss and completely renovated in 1997. The photos below were made with my phone during my brief visit.
